Heading into town to grab door gasket and was wondering what people do to get the old Gasket Cement outta the grooves? Thanks eh!
I believe I scraped the slot with an old blunt screwdriver. In some places I would need a block to chip some chunks out.
I've used a screwdriver, chisel, wire wheel in a drill........and a combo of those. That looks like the same gasket cement from Imperial that I've used. I don't much like it, because it foams up and flakes off when heated.
That's easy Loon... park the Blurr Bros by the stove and spread peanut butter all along the gasket groove. They'll have that cleaned off in 30 seconds...
I doubt if they'd even notice if the stove was hot when they cleaned the gasket groove... they're so cool...
I never tire of your stove pics Loon....and the buddies sitting in front of that warm fire. What a cozy way to relax!!
