Been doing a fair bit of scrounging (for me, anyhow) lately and some processing due to the snowless January in SE Wisconsin. Tonight I figured I'd reward myself with a little ambiance and some libations in the woodyard. Tabletop smokeless firepit, fed with scraps from the ground. Bourbon old fashioned press, because it's Wisconsin. Hope you all find some time to enjoy the woodyard this winter, PROST! 20250129_203640.jpg

We're stuck with no-snow as well. Just been putting in the hours at work so no splitting lately, although I have plenty to split.

I really enjoy splitting in the dark with several Coleman lanterns going. Having a fire going makes it even better. But it’s been so dry around here there’s no way I’m lighting an outdoor fire. But if’n we ever get some snow cover and the weather is mild enough I promise I’ll be splitting beside a fire in the warm glow of some Coleman’s
