What is the temp now? I'd like to study that setup. I just want to heat a hot tub though. Thanks for putting up those pictures :salute:

74 after three hours of red oak fire. I get around 1 1/2 to 2 deg. per hour with good weather. They make a unit just for hot tubs. Look up Woodstovepool.con

Very cool man, I have been researching WSP for a while, was hoping to pull the trigger on one for this season but might have to wait till next year. May I ask how many gallons does your pool hold and what model WSP do you have?
Great pics and awesome looking yard you have. Thanks for sharing.

    We have the
Silverdome (Lg) our pool is more like a very large hot tub. It measures 12x24 and is 4’ at the shallow end and 5 1/2’ at the deep end and has 9000 gal. We wanted something bigger than a hot tub but small enough to heat up easy.

The stove will warm a 23000 gal. pool at 1 deg. per hour so we get from 1 1/2 to 2 deg. With the smaller volume.

Beautiful pool. I switched to a salt water system a couple years ago and will never go back. Love the wood fired heater. You can now bump the temp up to make it comfortable and get more use and a longer season. I had a homemade solar set up that worked pretty well.

That is a nice setup. How much do you think you feed it?

We only need it in May part of June and then again in late September. Go though 1 1/2 to 2 cord.

I like that idea for the hot tub. My hot tub is an energy whore.

I'm going to have to check this out. After a measly attempt at a solar setup on my garage I gave up and started cutting trees for more solar gain.
Opened mine 2 weeks ago starting temp 66 yesterday it was up to 75. Substantial improvement after removing the big white oak.

What did it cost to get a setup like that?

Shoot. To extend the season that much! Two cords? Not too shabby at all. Very nice!

That surely looks nice. We've thought about something like that but in the woods, we no doubt would have to have it enclosed. I also wonder about insurance coverage as they seem to frown on pools like they do trampolines.

Not sure it was 4 years ago but I think it was $2400.00 delivered from Canada. It’s not that air tight so you loose some heat but who cares I have 23 acres of Red Oak to burn. It’s all stainless steel so no need to cover for the winter.

I'm hoping this email pastes right. Some of these pool heaters double as a pizza oven as well. Pretty slick... I contacted WSP back in Dec 2017 for some pricing, here's their response.

All stoves come complete with everything you need to operate the stove, firebricks, chimney, inlet/outlet connection pieces, drain plugs, & a by-pass kit

Note: As you can see in the above chart the pizza oven models produce better results, not just in our fleet of stoves, but they are the most powerful stoves on the market while also giving you the ability to cook delicious meals.

If you need the extra output but do not want to cook using the oven then simply close the pizza over door and fill the fire box with wood and watch your pool increase in temperature by 1 degree per hour. We promise you one thing, over the course of the pool season you will be tempted to use the oven and you will be truly satisfied with the cooking results.

Our track record speaks for itself with over 1500 Silverdomes and Megadomes sold worldwide and several hundred of our Pizza Silverdome & Pizza Megadomes sold. Wood Stove Pools was developed out of necessity, as we all know cold pools do not get used. We offer the most cost effective and fun way to heat your pool.

    Shipping:

SilberBarrel (Mini) = $250 to a business or shipping terminal or $300 to your home

Silverdome & Megadome = $300 to a business or shipping terminal or $375 to your home

Pizza Silverdome & Pizza Megadome = $300 to a business or shipping terminal or $400 to your home

If you live in Southern Ontario (Canada) or the Detroit Michigan area you can pick up the stove and save on shipping costs. When placing your order we can provide pick up details

You have noticed our Stove’s initial outlay costs are comparable to a gas/propane heater installed and our operational costs is where your investment is returned to you. Depending on your climate you will require approximately 1-2 bush cord per season. A bush cord ranges from $250-$325. The average pool owner who uses a gas/propane heater pays $800 - $2000 per year on gas or propane. If you average that out over 10 years, it is a huge savings

Your pool will retain its heat better if covered. Wood Stove Pools is also a dealer of the best Heat Retention blanket on the market. Provide us with your pool size and we can provide you with a quote.

Any other questions or to place an order just ask.

    Sincerely

    Craig
