    Hello

In Albion PA it is snowing heavily and 10 inches are expected! ! !

All my stoves are ready, pellets are dry in the basement and garage.
We may have to just hunker down in front of a warm fire tonight and maybe a cold beer tonight and tomorrow!

See current Projected NE totals for accumulation. Bangor Maine is in the Jack Pot area! ! !

See map snowfall map for NE below
Totals could increase before it is all over!

We have about 9 inches on the ground here. Got about 6 inches today and 3 yesterday. We received more snow in the past 24 hours than fell in November and December. 20 miles west of me they got a foot in the past 24 hours.

5-8" is just another winter day in lake effect snow belt areas. One nice thing is that it's always light and fluffy. Nothing like shoveling the concrete that fell a couple weeks back.

We got around 3" here in central PA. Most of it came in a 3:00pm squall that was so damm heavy for the 20 minute drive home that you literally couldn't see further than 5 feet in front of you!!

I hope we get a couple big snows soon.....I wanna run the sled!

Got about an inch...just got home from work, had to scrape and salt the lot. Just wanted to scrape but it turned to ice after doing so then needed to salt....I always screw myself somehow.

I was thiiiiiiis close to buying a snowmobile earlier this year. El Nino scared me off, and I'm glad I didn't. Even with 4 inches of snow, its bare ground in most places, and big drifts here and there.

Something like 2" forecast, But we only got about an inch.

Side roads slick in spots otherwise it was a smooth ride in to work.

Trust me, I'd love to have new modern ones. But that's why I have old sleds. Very little money invested and they can sit for several years between winters.....lol

But when I need them, I have them. And believe me, I use the pizz out of them when there's snow on the ground, for hauling wood off the neighbors farm, maple syruping, and just having fun....

That's exactly what I was looking at. I was drooling over a '97 model that was in decent shape with a rebuilt engine for 1K on the local classified site this morning. I just don't have much extra space for storage. Not until I get these darned wood pellets burned up...:coldfire:

Mine are antiques.....1974 Chaparral SSX's. Very advanced sleds in their time, still a blast to run......just not real pretty....lol

we got about a foot last night and this morning.
i just went out and ran the genny for a while. it's happy in it's new home in the shed with the exhaust nicely plumbed to the outside.
7 & 3/4 tons of pellets in the basement, 150 or more gallons of oil (that i hope we never use even if it gets old)
17 gallons of fresh gas in cans and a full tank in the subie that can be accessed with the self priming siphon hose. plus a full tank (4 gallons) in the genny itself.

the power cord to the genny is run under the floor along the basement ceiling and the power strip and secondary cords for everything sit in the living room ready to go with surge suppressors for the stove and other electronics

main power cord exits the house through a hole the hatch where i load pellets in and another hole in the outer cover i use there in winter.

we have had two or three momentary power hits the last few days. the wind is picking up, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was day before yesterday.

    Hello
Got the driveway and new Steel reinforced walkway alongside of the new workshop to the old shed cleaned out last night after the predicted 3" snowfall. The new 4K psi mix concrete walkway with 4 tons of 3/4" stone underneath is holding up nicely. We also poured a big pad behind the shed so next year we can build a LeanTo to store the Tractor with blower attached. :)
