Is this a good buy for a Husky 357?

I’d say absolutely if all OEM parts. There’s a clean one near me for $500. I paid $680 in 2010 for mine brandy new. They spin 14k in stock form. The local Husky dealer always told me it was Husqvarna’s high speed limb light saber.

If this one was 4, I’d be selling something to come up with the cash.

    Yes. It’s a “factory hot rod”. I think it’s 4.4hp w/ 56.5cc. Compare that to the competitions 56/57 cc.

They are nice saws. I have two, a 357 and it’s Jonsered counterpart. They came out with auto-decomp and plastic intake boot clamps that killed a lot of top ends. Make sure it still has an oem top end and upgrades to the steel intake clamp and auto-decomp. If the plastics were minty I’d pay $400 for one with a bad top end and make the needed repairs

I wanted one back in the day but gave up. Have him drop the bar & chain? $350. May as well make a counter offer? That bar ain't long for the world I don't think. Get a nice Tsumura and some flippy caps on there for probably $75-80.

BRAD , just so you know it is illegal to mention Stihl in a Husky thread.
Check your PM box ; you might get a "reminder"

Are you going to finally step out of your comfort zone and try another brand? I hope so because variety is the spice of life. Don't be afraid, you can like more than one.

You know I'm an Echo guy that likes Stihl, but if I'm ever needing another saw, I'd seriously consider getting a Husky chambered in 357 extra pee :binoculars::makeitrain"

I don’t see many 362’s, not that I’m looking, but I’d like to compare it to the 262. I’d splash out for a nice 254xp.
