I have all season bar oil and just ordered a Chinese saw that requires 10w30 as per instructions. Is it OK to use my Husqvarna bar oil. I read that all season bar oil is 30-40 weight. Not too much difference.

Bunch of bs. Bar oil has tackifiers and anti wear additives. It is closer to gear oil than engine oil. Don't use engine oil in a saw.

I run all season bar oil in all seasons. I would not run motor oil or any other oil unless it was a pos saw I was cutting roots out with or something.

I’ve had no issues using store brand bar oil in my Steal or my holszforma saws.

yes, I now spell it “Steal” for a reason. Nothing like an Austrian assembled Chinese parts kit.

Use the bar oil...save the motor oil for motors (engines)
