Is it a McCulloch 797

    I'm seeing a guy tomorrow about what he says is a older pioneer saw. But I looks more like a McCulloch. Did some searching. He didn't have any info on it. Thought I'd see what you guys thought. If it's a 797 then I've hit the mother load. If not was worth a try. Reason I think it's a bigger saw is it's rocking a 36" bar currently. And I'll still buy it just for the bar.

    Yep it looks like a old McCulloch to me. I could not tell you the model.

    Ya. I'm going to check to see if the serial# matches the 797's.

    I looked at some pics of the 797 and 797 super online and your pics fit the bill for 797.

    Someone 20 mins from me is selling it for $50 thinking its some pos. So fingers crossed I can get there in time.

    Well it is a 797, aftermarket parts couldn't find the serial #, 36" Windsor bar. I'll need to replace some wiring and adjust the ignition coil it was all mucked up. And find a way to lock the choke for starting. It's been played with a bit. But still has promise.

    It's not a 797 it's a 1-76 so not the saw i thought but still a great find for $50!
