Have wanted to post this for a while, it has been a couple years. Fishingpol this is for you :chef:

first step was to build a mold to cast the oven sections, section templates for shape, wire, then form with plaster and smooth

next was to add dividers to section the casting into 4 pieces to allow for expansion and contraction. note the top is a circle so the points do not crack off. the refractory is a high density 100lb per cu ft mix. after packing ref. remove divider and repeat

allow to cure 7-10 days then pop off mold. move pieces to concrete table. the table is 6 inch thick, 5000 psi concrete with #8 rebar tied in 12 inch grid

skipped a step, the base of the oven. 2 inch insulating refractory, then 2 inch high density ref.

Great build and a great space. I'm glad you put your pics up here.

Any thoughts of building one in St. Croix?
