I thought this was a commercial unit but looking at this guys youtube channel I'm pretty sure he threw this thing together himself, skip to 10:45 if you've seen someone use a chainsaw before.
Pretty cool, but I’m not seeing the time or effort savings. Looks to me that it would be just as easy and maybe faster to buck those logs in the woods throw in the truck or trailer and split and stack when back to the racks. Or could split in the woods like I do to avoid the mess at home. Maybe I’m missing something!
These little trailers as well as forwarders seem to be real popular in Scandinavian Countries like Sweden. Maybe member Chris from Sweden can expand and explain why. The trees they harvest are a lot smaller than what we cut in the US. Most of the Swedish YouTube woodcutters are only cutting pecker poles.
