I'll fess up, I've got the urge for a new one. And I have no real use for it, other than I want it.
    AK-47 pistol, 10" barrel, 7.62 x 39.
Pros:- It's small, it's "cool", wife said I could get it.
Cons: Impractical for darn near everything except being unique at the range.
Luckily it's out of stock, but......

So, what do you want but have no use for?

If I was to invest on something impractical I'd have to make sure I could at least get my money back if I was to sell at some point.
It's fun to try other folks impractical guns at the range, not sure I would want one. The handguns I do have are all for home defense of carry only. It would have to be a great deal if I was to do it. AND I know what the look on my wife's face will be. :)

The mp 5 is about the only one that's not easily available. I've had the lapua and shot several 308 AR. Km undecided on an AR 10 or bolt gun to go along with the 2 AR 15s.

MP-5 SD is one of my all time favs. to shoot. I would consider that quite practical actually.

Why?? 28 gauge, never could figure that one out. But then, we're talking "impractical".
Some above I could use, a few not. A few more I want, but don't....
    • Mauser 98 in .585 Nyati
    • Rem. 660 in .350 rem. Mag.
    • Rem. 600/660 in 6.5 Rem mag
    • Sako Fibremark(?) in .375 H&H- spun me 90 deg., but cool rifle.
    • Any Weatherby Mag. rifle.- I have strong opinions about those.
    • and this,..and that...

I know someone who has one. Great for canned bird hunts, makes it a bit of a challenge.

I totally get that. They are impractical for me since I only have 5 acres and a 75 yard range. Hell....we can't even use a hi powered rifle here in indiana for anything other than yotes which makes anything necked down impractical in my book.

Now get this....if I take a necked down cartridge and shoot it from a pistol...it's deer legal. Same cartridge in a rifle is illegal. Talk about fuggin stupid.

Would probably try to find a savage stryker pistol or the Remington xp100 for deer.

Believe it or not, an ar pistol in .300blk is deer legal! Even with a sig brace!

    For me, that's also impractical...guess I'm old school :)

Black powder rifle. I discovered that those things are a kick to shoot. Impractical only due to inferior ballistics and slow repeat fire.

Black powder pistol would be even more fun, and less practical.
