Kinda........ My son brought home a baby from school. One of those practice ones that he needs to take care of. I had to sign paperwork over it, i guess for liabilities, etc. Rose (that is her name, lol) came home on the bus with him. Baby, carrier, diaper bag, diapers, bottle, etc. Rose slept until dinner time - go figure, and he couldn't eat for 40 minutes. It was funny, he thought this would be easy, meh, change a diaper, feedings, NOPE! The baby seems as real as can be. Ten minutes of crying, he tried feeding, she was quiet for a minute or two, then cried again. He was getting stressed, dogs barking, Dawn and i trying to help out added to the stress, ha ha ha. He wears a bracelet that has a sensor that connects with a sensor on the baby. Ok, he needs to do the holding, feeding, etc. Dawn already has that look in her eyes. I'm laying in bed, she and Matt are waiting for the baby to wake up, its imminent we're thinking. He came in here when i layed down, seeming a little intimidated with what the night will bring. This is all pretty funny to me, but to be taken seriously is equally important. Here's to a night without sleep. Its been 15 years, and the memories of sleepless nights are still clear on my mind!
That's pretty funny Last time I had a night like that was when I got a new puppy, had to sleep with my hand hanging down in the Box. Babys are a lot of work, I'm glad my kids are 40 years old
Bless you for doing that, I've paid my dues. I think I'd send that baby right back to school, or maybe sign up for some free gov't food stamps to pizz em off.
Between the 2 of us, we've raised 4 kids and helped with 4 Gkids, as well as our eldest doing a bit of fostering. I'm out.
The baby woke up 4x last night, just after 3am twice and again after 5am twice. The dogs barked, mainly saucy, but enough to wake us up for a bit. I left for work this morning and when i got home his list of times and what he's had to do is impressive! He looks tired to say the least and it'll be another looong night! We usually eat out sometime during the weekend, but he doesn't want to that this time. To much work and people around.
It was several years before we went out with the children to eat , too much of a hassle , drive thru Baby .
But I'm sure that you and Dawn being good parents have already taught him that , this just reinforces it
