Uhh yeah! But I would have a few more tools, not that I would ever win since I have never bought lottery ticket and never plan to. Personally I think its a waste, and sadly many people really believe they will hit it big. I once saw a guy walk into a convenience store that looked like he was in a bad way. Car barely ran and the poor guy had raggedy old clothes on and looked like he hadn't bathed in a long time. He dropped $200 on lottery tickets. My money is much better spent on useful things and investing in my future.
I think I have spent about $10 on tickets in my life. If I won I think I'd still work. If not at my job I'd work for myself on my own time. I'd buy a masterminded saw!! Paint my old trucks and buy a splitter. Insulate the house and close in my shed. After remodeling. Try and buy my neighbors out to increase my lot. Probably buy a new truck to drive Sunday and out to eat and Walmart Buy more reloading gear. But I bet of I won millions most would not be able to tell. Oh get my wife a Polaris ranger with dump bed too.
I'd buy a big house where, We both could live. If I were a sculptor......... I'd build a nicer, well insulated place just a bit bigger, with a whole bunch more property. A couple UTV's, maybe a couple sleds. Well appointed shop. First though, I'd invest and set up trusts for the kids and grandkids. Then, I'd wake up and ask my wife what she would do.
I'm not sure. That's a good question. There's not a lot of things in my life that a bunch of money would change. I don't have a lot of "wants" and like to live pretty simple...so the answer is probably yes... But there's part of me that says "pack up and move to the beach"...I'd get too bored though. I'd buy a bunch of land to tinker on...so that answer is definitely yes. Probably wouldn't be so picky about the furnace running though!!
Yep, no one would know much about it if done right. Been playing the lottery since it started in '72-'73, if my memory serves. Never more than a ticket or 2 though, and never every day. More like a couple times/month.
Never bought a lottery ticket in my life. I pay enough taxes already....not about to pay a voluntary one.
If I won't the lottery I wouldn't stack wood. I've have the "help" do that. I'd cut it...maybe split it...and burn it. Everything else would go away.
I'm from the "beach" as people call my home town. I only miss the water a bit inland is much better. Rap if near a big lake
No, as I'd be living in Corfu in the Summer and maybe Key West in Winter. I might pay someone to go to the grocery store and pick up one of those bundles of firewood if I got a bit nostalgic or wanted a fire on my private beach.
If I won the lottery I could finally fund the charitable stuff I want to fund, then get out of medicine and do that work full time instead. (I just received a nice grant to help fund a Catholic Hospice project I'm working on. I want to get into that field full time.) I'd still burn but I'd probably buy my wood, but that's more a function of back issues and health issues than having money or not.
I too would give to the church at a level I wish I could now. And I too would set up funds to send my son to college and some seed money for him to buy a home or start a business if wanted to.
There is no way I would. With millions I would be traveling the world to much to take the time to chop. Would still use wood for burning but it would be bought and stacked by someone else.
If I won the lottery....I wouldn't even close the door behind me when I walked out of this shack. But, I'm not planning on winning the lottery...so for now this shack is payed off...
Seeing as though I have the option of getting a French maid helper, I'm saying yes. Probably scale back, burn more when I feel like it, but I love getting out there and cutting... running saws, splitting for exercise, and I'd pay someone to stack. OK, back to work!
