If someone gave you anew or better part for your pellet stove, what would you get?

    Hello
I would put in the new auger motor with needle bearings! Like a car wheel bearing with all the little rollers, that is what needle bearings are!
Auger motors have sleeve bushings, and the better ball bearings but I have a friend with a Fahrenheit Furnace and the auger has an over hung load or a cantaliever effect which made a ball bearing auger motor leak grease around the shaft after only 1 month of use!! So he put the new needle bearing auger motor in and it has been working good all this season!
So what do you want in your stove?

A controller that is in plain English instead of the confusing chit Ravelli uses.

Do you have the new RDS technology with the flash motherboard or the older Ecotek Stove?

    A deeper ashpan.

Wifi controls. I have a my stove hooked up to a wifi t-stat which is great for on/off and creating schedules. However, I'd like to control all aspects of the stove via wifi; like feed rate, setting (1-5) ect.

I wish the control board on my pellet stove was flash upgradeable. You know, like most other consumer electronic equipment sold today is. That would be ideal, so you don't have to replace the board to take advantage of any new enhancements the manufacturer may make in newer revisions of the board.

The new touch screen Harmans are that way,but does not help us with the old format.

In a conversation with a Harman engineer I was told there was a possibility that there might be a new board and digital controls available for some of the Harman models. I am really hoping this happens! It would be worth it to me!

Not me,sorry,I have the latest upgrade for my integra, just replace the prom.I have the latest Harman board, for my Accentra,it burns much cleaner, but does waste some heat, but the board is cheap.I like simple, and simple is easier to fix.Once you throw in touch screens and easily replaceable programming,a whole nother world has opened up,as you cannot trust the programming,and/or the data that it is telling you.Sorry, guess I am somewhat of a luddite.

Also,if consumers were allowed to change settings, you may see a larger number of house fires, from people changing things to compensate for a dirty stove.Don't think it will happen.
