I have a phone interview today!

    I applied for a position in the pnw with the city water & power board. Part of me wants to go back to Oregon another doesn't want to move. I let my cdl lapsed so that is an issue I'm not sure I want to deal with again. Just venting, position has great benefits and if I worked ten years another retirement check. I shouldn't compare my current salary with any other job because I'll never make that kind of salary again. :( :)

    So many beautiful places to live or see. Oregon looks like one of them. I went through part of Vermont last week, that's another beautiful place. For some reason every place I think would be a beautiful place to live or see has lots of trees!:D

    I'm pretty sure they have very tight burning regulations.....no burn days, epa stoves only, etc.

    It's not as strict as Washington state, from what I last saw.

    I nearly moved to Oregon years ago. Twice actually. My oldest brother still lives there, and my wife lived there for 12 years before moving to Wisconsin.

    good luck. I'm all for multiple retirements. It takes a lot to retire and stay out of debt. Things always come up that cost. cars, home repair, health care. No end to it.
