3 days in a row and I am going to feel it. My wife has a stray one eyed cat we named Willy. He supervised from a distance as I shoveled 3000 lbs of crushed rock each day and spread it around the yard to pretify for mama bear. I will try to get pics if I remember tomorrow. It was dark when I gotted done tonight. Advil here I come!!! Only have another 6000 lbs to go, but I can cheat on that and borrow a bobcat for that work. Much better than the shovel and wheel barrel I ran the last 3 days!

I know the drill well. 25 years of back issues. And a ruptured L5 reminds me often.

I still have another yard of pea gravel to move this summer (moved 2 yards last summer. Used shovel and 4-wheeled dump cart. Not sure how many pounds the pea gravel adds up to, but I imagine it was a lot less than what you are moving - I don't envy you (okay, now that you will have a bobcat to play with, I do :D)

I ruptured a disc between L1 and L2 many years ago, and cold really makes it stiff now. A heating pad and the hot tub work wonders! Go figure!

20160514_091526.jpg 20160514_091809.jpg This is Willy. One eye and all. Missing his left eye when he showed up as a stray 3 years ago. He is a pretty good supervisor around here now.
