Created a post a while back on OPE to show how to increase oil output on Husqvarna (and Jonsered) saws that use the 3 position oiler. I thought it may benefit some here so I'm going to copy/paste it. Credit for this goes to Mike Lee and super3 (from AS).

Back story... bought my 357XP new 2010. Cut 7-10 cord per season and ever since new I always felt the oiler was lacking. With it turned up to the max and the bar oil holes slightly enlarged, I always used about 1/2 tank of oil per tank of gas. Well after a little research and some help, I decided to try a mod.

With the oil pump removed, push up on the adjustment screw (black circle) and remove the pin (721 11 64-30 above).

This will allow you to remove the piston. Here's a pic of the pump apart, piston is off the rag.

The angled end on this piston creates stroke as it is turned by the worm gear. Idea here is to show the starting angle, then increase it a bit to create more stroke. I did that with some emory and a flat surface.

Started with an 82 degree angle and stopped with 80. I did also measure the short side with a caliper. Stock was 16.44, modded was 16.24.

Back together with a dab of grease and it's ready to go back on the saw.

At this point, I'm going to take a step backwards. IF your bar oil weeps, this is the perfect time to try to add a little RTV to both rubber tubes that touch the pump. Be cautious, too much could squeeze out and block the inlet/outlet holes. IF you do this, thoroughly clean both surfaces or the rtv won't seal.

This is the one that goes in the case. You can see my last try with Motoseal didn't work as good as the rtv ended up working.

This pic shows that tube in the case and another "mod". A little sawdust behind the rubber outlet tube that touches the bar helped (in my case) hold it tighter.

What I did was grease the edge that touches the bar and carefully "kissed" the 2. Here you can seee the grease mark. I wanted to see how that rubber was lining up with my Sugihara bar hole, which I did open up a little and angle, seen here:

After using the saw for a while now, I can say I am oiling much more. I use just shy of a full tank of oil per tank of gas. YMMV ;)
