I did a quick search, and did not see what I was looking for. I like the flippys on my 550 and want them on my other saws. Read somewhere that one is compatible with older 3 series saws, and one is not (not sure which, oil or fuel).

I want these on my 350 and would also run them on my 2166 if possible. Does anyone know for sure before I order them what the compatibility is? AFAIK, the older saws were prettymuch all interchangeable. IE: my '13 2166 oil/gas caps will also fit my '98 350?

Anyone have the straight poop on this issue?

Yes, trying the cap from the 550 on my 350 would tell me the answer....but I always forget to check.

The oil cap won't work on a 346xp . That's about all the info I can give you .

Thank You. If it doesn't work on the 346, it won't work on my 350 and in turn will not work on the 2166. Will order a couple for the fuel tanks.

    I love the flippy caps!

Hmmmmmm. May have to order an oil cap as well.

Also....that guide bar...is it 24"?? I have been hunting one of the Total bars with the JohnnyShreds logo. No success as of yet. I have a 20" Husky bar that would look better on your saw! :D

    Yup, it's a 24".

Surely you jest a Husky for for a Tsumura?

I stocked up when I got a good price on them.

    Uhhhh...it's a "pro" Husky bar? ;) :dancer:

Seriously though, would you be willing to part with one of those 20"? Jonsered bars? And if not, could you direct me to where I can find one? I almost bought a regular Total last week but am holding out for a Jred branded one if I can locate it. Interwebs has failed me thus far and the only dealer around these parts is TSC.

Sorry it wouldn't be worth it by the time shipping is considered. There are a few excellent sources here on the forum of those handling the Total/Tsumura bars.

I believe Spike 60 can help, he is Da Man.:salute::thumbs::dex::yes:

Spike60 and fordf150 is a Total seller if I recall.

I thought they could be had for most models. They are handy. As much as I love my flippy caps on Stihls. The Husq caps are the same cap as far as sealing. They just flip up for leverage to tighten and loosen. Where Stihl completely changed the sealing and locking process when they went from screw to flippy.

The Husky flippy caps didn't fit the 346XP.:headbang::hair:

I don't want to get started on a rant regarding Stihl flippy caps, but it wouldn't take much to get that started. IMHO, attempting to re engineer a screw cap and an O ring into moving parts, certainly departs from the concept of KISS, (keep it simple stupid). Plus on the Husky flippy caps, if you don't like them, you can put in conventional or replace old with the new style. Hmm... some would call that versatility.

What would you be willing to pay for one of the elusive 'Jonsered' branded Total bars?
