So I screwed up. Wasn't paying attention and added mix that was probably 10:1 instead of 50:1. I dumped out all the gas/oil, which was very blue, and added just a little fresh 50:1, but I can get her to kick over. What is the quickest was to remedy the situation? I have a general idea of what to do, but would like to ask those with a lot more knowledge than me before moving forward.

I wouldn't usually advise using ether, but in this case it should give you just enough to get it going. There's already lots of lube there.

Simplest is pull plug, have proper fuel in tank, pull rope 50x, dump flooding out plug hole.

Highly doubt saw is flooded. Pour a little mix down the carb and pin the throttle wide open. Pull till it fires.

If it pops but wont stay running put some more mix down its throat.

I put chain lube in the gas tank once,
started on 1st pull, ran for a few seconds.

Drained & rinsed tank with gas, pulled fuel line & drained,
pulled plug & cleaned, added gas.
Pulled thru a few timed, plug back in.
Took a bit, but got it going.

    ??? How you have a mix of 10:1. ???

Like John mentioned, pour a small amount down the carb elbow and keep pullin' with your normal mix.
Pull the plug and clean it or put a fresh one in. It'll eventually lite up.

I see gas coming out of the muffler. Does that change things?

    Yea
    Flooded, pull plug
Pull it thru several time to dry it out
Dry the plug, install , don’t choke
    & keep trying

A self teacher, the sore shoulder for a few days
    from pulling so much
will help you remember to put good gas in the gas tank. :D

I've actually pulled the plug, pulled over a couple times & then put a butane torch in the plug hole, you'll get a "woof" of blue flame for a second, but then let the torch warm & dry the cylinder. Install plug & pull till she fires. Like bogydave said, you'll remember the lesson.

    +1
Pull the plug then pull the starter rope a bunch, then let it sit with no plug for a while.

edit: probably way too much mix down the carb...

Don't use a torch! That scares the dickens out of me, just thinking about it!

Pull the plug and let it dry, either with pulling, or let it sit a while.

I did the torch trick once. Made a hell of a bang. Never tried that again.

Severely flooded? Plug out turn the saw upside down and pull it over a few times. Crankcase can be full of gas. Easiest way to get it out.

Fouled plugs I'll heat up with a torch, when gas or oil fills the plug gap it won't spark, period.

Full throttle will help clear excess fuel while cranking/pulling.

I've used a air hose blowing in the plug hole to dry them out, then torch the plug hot, reinstall it and pull....

Hook it to the truck, put it in gear and drag it around with the plug out for a while. Reinstall the plug turn on ignition and drag it some more. It’ll be nice and dry and fire right up.

    :wacky:
Oh wait what are we referring to?

    What works for me
    100% throttle
    0% choke
    Kill switch off
    Pull till it start.
