Installed a new (used) flywheel today and switched to a Husq 50 coil I had on hand. After reassembly, saw started on second pull and is running strong again. Let sit for 30 min and started right back up. So.....very happy the problem is solved. Unfortunately, since I sheared the original flywheel key on the first few pulls after installing the 50 coil, I can't be sure that the problem was the original coil or the flywheel on the initial problem - but, all's well that ends well (I think it was a flywheel issue). I want to especially thank Kred for his advice and willingness to offer a replacement flywheel - he's a top notch guy and knows his saws for sure - thanks again Kred! Cheers!

You're welcome. I have a special place in my heart for those old 262XP saws. NH_Wood, I see that you have two model 61s. I like those too, I think I have three. Anyway, here is a fun project that returns great results on a 61. Get yourself a P/C and intake off a 162SE (closed port 62cc), use the carb off a 272XP (Tillotson 260A or 260S). Makes a lot more torque than the base OP 61. Lots of fun to run and will pull a 28 inch bar in soft wood without problems.

Cool idea Kred - the second 61 has a bad piston, so this would be a fun project since in needs a rebuild anyway - I was going to just keep the parts for when my running 61 has problems, but two runners sounds good too! Thanks again! Cheers!

IIRC, Meteor makes one for the 162SE. Jonsered 630 P/C is the same as the 162SE.
