Hate to see this go....as I like it alot...and was gonna do a 262xp conversion on it.....but I wanna save up for a new saw that I have in mind .
This is my clean and nice Husqvarna 261 chainsaw with 20 inch bar . The bar is still usable....but is getting a little tired ! Has a brand new Oregon LGX chain on it . I also put on a brand new decompression valve , spark plug , the good Nylon air filter and a new chain catch . I opened up the muffler outlets a little..but never got around to a full muffler mod . This has about 140 psi compression and good strong spark . I really like the way this runs .Good smooth power ! Ready to go cut...or for a 262xp conversion .Oils as it should too . $200 plus shipping.........I prefer PayPal....but may consider other payment options .

I also have a brand new Genuine Husqvarna felt air filter that fits the 261 and 262...and i think it fits the 268,272and 394 as well . Also have a new Genuine Husqvarna oil pump worm gear that fits the 261 and 262...as well as the 254 and 257.....I think !!
    Id like to get $25 plus shipping out of the pair . 001.JPG 003.JPG 002.JPG 006.JPG 007.JPG 008.JPG 009.JPG 010.JPG

Will the 261 show up the 455, I mean will it be a noticeable difference?
I've cut about 20 cord with my saw, it runs good but just seems to lack on bucking power on
large stuff. I run a 20" bar and have been told to drop it to an 18 to get better results.
Tell me what you think HF

Ive never ran a 455... But my guess is that the 261 will run and cut better. Plus this can be converted into a 262xp ... And that for sure will make your 455 seem like a weakling :) lol !

I just thought the motor sizes were so close that I didn't know if the difference would be noticeable.

The 261 is a better saw that the 455 in my opinion.

Plus, you could probably sell the 455, buy this, and have some money in your pocket because of it. :) Win-Win!! :dex:

Nice saw Fuzz!! Wish I had the coin. Just got my 261 today! ! :)

261 is a much better saw than a 455. Those saws are not even close to the same.

    I dont rate a 455 even over a 55. I tested then both and 55 was better IMO. 261 hands down to a 455 I would think.

Can't blame a feller for trying.

My favorite 60cc saw is a 261 that I put a Meteor 262XP piston in. Of course it's ported. :D

The thing is that these 261s are great saws. Even after upping the power the two shoe clutch is fine.
