got home early so I went out back and cut down two red oaks. Hung this one up good.

Cut it as much as I dare then hooked up the tractor and winch.

A few minutes later on the ground bucked and on its way to the stacks.

Alls well that ends (well) as firewood.

gboutdoors mind if I ask about the winch? Brand and lengths of pulls, speed? I'm looking to get something similar to yours just on the lower dollar side of the spectrum.

It's a TSC Traveler winch made for ATV/UTV low amp draw 4500# pull with a 50' Harbor Fieght 3500# rope in place of the wire cable. Also have a second 50' HF rope that I attach to it for longer reaches in the brush. Don't know the speed but it works Great. I looked at many brands and sizes but this one was the best for low amp draw. It picked the back of the tractor off the ground for a second while trying to get this tree down.

Ps. I bought this one on sale for $139.00 and the hitch bracket was $69.00 I think.
