It's been cooler than the last few years here....might as go as far to say cool. I am pretty sure we haven't hit triple digits yet although that may change at the end of the week. I think we have only hit 97 or higher a few times this year again that's not normal. Been hovering high 80s and low 90s. Usually by this time we have often had solid weeks north of 95 and many triple digit days. Now it's not too late for that but still cooler than normal. Th8s week has really been the first hot hot week while working outside where I'm just dripping working after work when I get home and do work around house. We have also had more rain than a normal year. This all works out great for the late sweetcorn I planted. Should be ready in September. I side dressed it for the first time it ammonium nitrate yesterday. It's well past knee high by last week of july:rofl: . Most around here are cutting sweetcorn under by now or picking it.

    Anyway what's your weather like.

Hot this week, cooling down thru the weekend.
Totally seasonable like days days of yore.
Didn’t see the first mosquito til July 18th this year. That in and of itself is amazing.

Hot and not as productive as I would have liked . Been very humid and pretty poor for outside work.
Have the mill up and running but otherwise a little slower than normal. Not to rush it since life is short but looking forward to cooler weather.
Will have to double down when it's a little more bearable outside.

Quite similar here, except the rain quite often has gone by north of me. So we're actually kinda dry and sans mosquitoes.
Put the window A/C in the window and went to run it a bit later and no go. and haven't bought a replacement. Not sure I'll need it. Most places are out or slim pickings by now anyway.

Our stores including Walmart and Lowe's are still loaded with pallets of them, especially the smaller ones. They keep them in stock for back to school college kids as well. The school my wife went to her dorm didn't have AC if you wanted it you brought your own window unit. I'm sure it's central by now though, think they remodeled it. No this wasn't 40 years ago this was early 00s!

It's hotter and drier than typical here. We're in a drought.

Oh boy, derecho alert tonight for us until 2am. 70-90mph winds projected. 55-80 mpg gusts have already been observed in the storm front.

I moved plants and lawn furniture and verified the boat cover was secure.

I would say it has been a hot summer, IMO. Especially the last few weeks have been hot and humid. Suppose to cool down to mid 80s next week. What grass I have is still green. The corn looks good, but I'll have to ask the farmers their outlook about the rain total.
Either way, I haven't been as productive either. Hopefully this weekend I'll get the stacks of rounds I need to split done.

Im jealous of those with the cooler temps. 50s sounds wonderful!

The summer has been strange. First we were in drought and now it is bordering on too wet. No mosquitoes until July but has been extreme ever since and we just had a new hatch.

The heat has been on and off but no extremes. Humidity has been off the charts for the last 6 weeks. We have had a few cool spells which are nice and expect another one next week and maybe sooner.

No lawns burning up around here.
