I made a Chili up for dinner tonight and the wife made an Apple Pie! The Chili was good, with canned tomatoes from the garden, and we have plenty for leftovers because I made a whole crockpot! We are still waiting for the pie to get done.

Love Chili with some nice bread to go with it. Apple pie is one of my all time favorite pies, next to pumpkin and sweet tater pie...

That looks great Gasifier! Looks like you're taking advantage of the stove being on and re-seasoning some cast iron as well. Nicely done.

Oh, those Kidney Beans can speak on different levels. Not speaking from experience or anything. That is just what I hear.

Ha. You're welcome wildwest. I noticed just cause I've got a couple I need to re-season here in the not too distant future.

That looks great! I am considering making a Chili soup, using all of the same ingredients except instead of the beans use egg noodles. The beans have been raising heck with me tummy.:chef:

I made 2 pots a couple weeks ago. 1 hot and spicy with white beans for me (I hate kidney beans) and 1 mild with kidneys for the rest of the heathens. Froze the left overs and they are almost gone. May have to make a couple more batches this weekend.
Used Boilermaker Chili recipe as a base and tweeked it a little. It called for 1/4 cup of chili powder:jaw::bug:but I reduced it to a couple table spoons.
Best dangnab chili I ever had !!!!!!

Maybe I will be inspired to make an Apple Pie this week. I don't know about the Chili though. Campinspecter likes chili but it is not one of my favorites.
