    Today I finished bringing the wood in from the stacks to the woodshed. My wife said, "We have at least two more years out there in the stacks." When I thought about it, I realized she was right. So now I am on the 3+ year plan!

    So now all you have to do is maintain! Congrats!:thumbs:
    But...if you are a good little hoarder...your stacks will continue to grow as the opportunity arises, just as mine and many others here have. I've easily 20 cords CSS, burn 4-5 a year, so yup, I'm either near, or at the new 5 year goal :D

    I'm glad you're on board, remember, if a woman doesn't find you handsome, at least she'll find you handy. Keep your stick on the ice!

    Nice. Now the pump is primed so from here on out it is just keeping a steady even pressure on the handle and the goodies keep coming with less work.

    Great feeling...isn't it?....:thumbs::thumbs:
    Whenever it starts to cool down...ill start to CSS 2 to 3 cords n stack in the woods...after burning season....Ill use that n maybe more to fill in what got used this winter....just revolving circle.
    While on the subject...I know of at least a dozen people that burn wood...out of all of these....I know of NONE that do or beleive in the 3 year plan....OLD HABITS HARD TO DIE...:picard:

    I've been watching for that DVD set I just mentioned on EBAY, it retails for $300...run about $200 on the 'bay, but you see "sales" once in while for ~$150. Well while we were on the subject it reminded me to go check the listings again...guess what!? SCORE!!! :dancer::banana: :rootintootin:
    $48...brand new set, seller has a 100% CS rating, 27 sold in the last day and a half, the ad says there's at least 10 more available...told the wife I just bought myself an early birthday gift :D

    Great accomplishment. Now you have options. If you get sick or hurt you have a fall back, if you find more wood to c/s/s you could sell a little. That's what I do. Use the money for my saw, splitter maintenance fund.

    Congrats bushpilot

    I bet it's a great feeling to know you have more than enough wood should the need arise.

    I'm now at 2years here, and happy about that, but still more to get.

    Keep up the good work.

    The first winter was cut-split-burn, the second year we had it all stacked for that winter by late spring. From then, I just processed more than I used each year, and at 5 years we made it. We've had the opportunity to give away a few cord along the way as well.

    The best part - the wife see the beauty of it as well, it is not one of those "crazy husband ideas."
