Ouch, I know that hurts. I really need to get a headache rack built for my truck, I'm afraid I'll do the same. I've already broken a tail light

    Yea
Few others here have the same "T" shirt.
I had sideboards & used plywood for the window when hauling (before the trailer)

    Now I bet
Side boards & a window protector on the wish list ?

Gasifier just built them for his:

Quick, get rid of the window stickers and any sign of wood, then claim a raving lunatic came up to the truck and bashed the window.

Hey Griz, time to buy when of those old live stock racks for your pickup, should be a bunch laying around, farmers have moved on from that practice.

A few more chainsaw stickers would have kept it all together.:dex:

Not me, but I AM waiting for a few splits to hit me in the back of the head when I load Jeep to the gills and hit the brakes too hard.:headbang:

I've done it..... Been a few years ago now. Found the rear window in a bone yard back then and saved a few bucks.

Same thing you did, except mine was a white oak split. Funny how you remember the wood split 25 years ago.

Bust out the rest of the window and fill up the passenger seat. :)

Had to replace mine last year. Got a privacy slider at a salvage yard for $75.00 and installed it myself. Now I put a pallet against it.

Im a soon to be slip up too. I also toss splits in the back of my pickup and sometimes they bounce around and hit the rear window. So far no broken glass but I'm sure my days are numbered.

I wedge a piece of pegboard against the bed with some splits when I load the truck higher than the bed rails to cover the window. I'm planning on using some stakeside connectors like you use for trailer/flatbed sides to make a removable headache rack that'll match the sideboards
