Cloudy day and good weather for having some fun.
I took the brush cutter up to uncover the rest of the Alder log in the orchard and was surprised to find another good log buried in the blackberry vines. I don’t known how long they’ve been laying there but except for a couple of pieces on the end, it is in good shape for firewood.
Will wait for a while to let the rounds dry, then haul them in the side by side.

Only about 1/4 mile from home.

Still a bit left to cut but that will have to happen on another day.

The Shindaiwa 488 did a good job buried 20” deep in the Alder. Chain got a little loose, but made it through all I wanted to do today.

So glad you found a log and not a mother-in-law.

I am surprised that the alder wasn't rotten and punky after laying in the weeds like that.
