Crazy.....Who'd have ever thought that sawdust would be in such high demand!! I know most of you guys have the situation covered (being we're all hi orders here), but imagine those that rely on pellets and don't have a hoard!! If I burned pellets I'd probably break down and spend the money on a hammer mill and pellet mill......turn my branches into pellets.......too bad those mills cost so much money!!
Other corner of CT is not any better. CT pellet has made the TV news(also made the local paper too). http://foxct.com/2014/03/06/wood-pellet-shortage-across-new-england/ I have far more than needed to get thru the winta, But still stuffing if and when a deal happens. One nice thing about being a filthy pig is we be warm! Just trying to save as much good stuff as I can and burning cheap box store stuff. I think my Cubex and Hamers are safe for another winter. If I can't find anything I will use them, But hopefully the AWF and PTL's will make it?
I'm pretty confident in saying that there will be a LOT more pellet pigs on this forum come next winter. Some cold lessons learned about waiting to stock up.
Glad I burn both wood and pellets Have 9 cord wood and 26 bags of pellets left... Come on tuna fishing
Read a report yesterday, El Nino in brewing at the equator. Already predicting a warmer winter next year in the Northeast.
Yeah. Go ahead and listen to that, then buy less pellets than you did this year. Might work, then again, it might not. For references, see "Winter 13-14".
Of all the burners I know, This year has either pizzed em off or set them in total panic. I tried to take a pole and what I got was most are gonna stuff more than they used this season JIC. Sub, I hope its going to be mild, But I'm still gonna stuff and stuff some more.
