My friend was going to take down this tree with his corded chainsaw. I said let’s do it today. He has never done any tree work other than mild limbIng, It went smooth. 2 partial
Pickup loads, I figure 2/3 of a cord. My truck is the Dakota and he has a Ram with a six foot bed. MS250 ran great, I avoided dirt with the chain and the chain lasted the whole session.

Nice job Thom! I see all your snow is gone too! How well does an electric chainsaw cut? Never really used or seen one in action. I wasnt as careful today and nicked dirt with the 261!

He’d still be cutting, haha. A corded saw works, they are not built very rugged. His threw the 3/8 pico stile chain a few times. You also have to be careful of cutting the cord.

I got a foot in northern Connecticut, then on Thursday night into Friday a front with allot of rain and mid 60’s temperatures ate all the snow. It’s cold again now. Mid teens this morning.

We did. average of 12" around here. Dec 24th it was close to 60* (i was outside in short sleeves) I couldnt believe how fast it was melting. It rained quite a bit overnight into Christmas. The wind was fierce. One gust over 70mph recorded in Connecticut.
We're pansies down here. Anything over 6" is of biblical proportions. I didnt run out for bread and milk either.
