Help with prices used equipment

Kubota 4wd diesel tractor BX2350, about ten years old, nothing wrong with it, not high hours (I dont know the number, I think less than 1,000), in good shape. Does not have FEL. For the past few years, I have seen pretty good used prices for Kubotas, even $10k and up for this model. And...

The prices below are retail prices I found for the implements, new. They, alone, total $4,344. All of this stuff was not the most expensive when bought new, nor the cheapest, kind of mid-level, and I have chosen current retail prices that seem to match that.

The tiller is a little better grade, I think it was $2,000 new back then.

+ the tractor!

How much you think all this should realistically bring? A relative traded in all this and I'd love to know what you guys think this is worth if you sold it on the retail market. I am concerned about his sanity. More later!

 

I was at a Kubota dealership about a month ago and they were loading up a small compact with fel and backhoe and the price hanging on the wheel was $26,500.
I bet that family member got double dry raped on a trade.

 

Not knowing what they traded on but I'm going to guess $3500.00 for the package.

No, I meant what I said. That's my guess based on the current state of the market. I'm probably way wrong.

 

Guess I should do more research before I speak as I don't know what size this tractor is. I now assume it is more of a riding mower?

 

It's bigger than that but based on what I see dealers pay for trades and the comments the OP made... .....

I guess they call this Kubota a sub-compact but it is MUCH more than a riding mower. It's a tractor. Has 3pt hitch and I think it had a hydraulic remote in the rear. You can also put a FEL on it but he didn't get it that way, but should have. Being a tractor, it has a PTO, which is how the tiller functioned. That tiller made a perfect seedbed, it would be finely chopped up dirt as smooth as a highway. Pulling a big plow or a box blade, you can't do that with a riding mower but you can with a tractor! As I studied up on small tractors over the past few years, I am amazed at what people do with a sub-compact like this Kubota. It has a hydrostatic transmission. I think it's 23hp. You can even get a backhoe for the back.

I forgot to add that the tractor also had a belly mower.

Small off brand 4x4 diesel tractors from the early/mid 80s still bring $3-5k around here...there is NO WAY you are touching a 10 YO 'Bota for that...especially with accessories!!

 

Condition is everything on used equipment, around here I would expect a dealer to give around $1000-1250 for all the equipment you listed and $2500-3500 for the tractor.

If it is a 4x4 they would resell it as a package deal for $12,000-14,000 in the spring.

If on the package a dealer gave over 5k he did good, if less than $3,000 he was taken advantage of.

From the last line of the OP I thought he was asking retail pricing...?

 

The thought was what you think the retail value is... what he could get for it if he sold it. Why anyone would trade all that in to a dealer is beyond me. I mean, we all know that a dealer is going to mark it up like crazy, right? Which means you ain't gonna get anything close to retail value. Why wouldn't you TRY to sell it first?

There are dozens of these tractors listed online for sale. His was newer than the listings by several years and these tractors, alone, are listed for about $9,000 in multiple listings. Just the tractor.

 

Seems like you already have a pretty good handle on what the retail market is no.
