With the cool weather today, we decided to have some comfort food. Saw a rescipe on FB for Zuppa Toscana, This is a soup made with potatoes, sausage, greens and creame. So good. http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/zuppa-toscana-better-than-olive-garden-236820/ We used frozen spinach for the greens, and sweet Italian. I would have preferred the spicy sausage, but my wife objected. This is very tasty.
I love the spicy one. I'm a spicy food eater. Have you ever gone on Pinterest ? They have some great recipes on there. Enjoy..
I'll have to try that Larry. I have a recipe for cream of tomato with ground sausage and tortellini that is a belly stuffer.
I've been on Pinterest , but I am more apt to go for the stuff our friends reccomend. My wife does the cooking. I would try some but she prefers I keep out of her area.
My favorite meal is soup with some good bread. I saved this one in my Soup folder on my Mac. Looks like a winner.
Looks deilightful, that is a favorite soup of mine. But then again I dont come across to many I dislike!
Funny, I have a pound of sweet italian sausage in the fridge trying to figure out what to do with it other than freeze it. I get "chef's block". Its like writers block but for cooking, I have the ingredients but can't figure out what to do with them. I'm not a big spaghetti fan, was just going to cave in and make tomato sauce and pasta with the sausage. After seeing this, screw that I'm making this soup this week. Thanks for sharing.
I have to tell you it is really good. Use some solid potatoes. Don't be sky about seasoning to taste. We had it left over and I thought it was even better the second time. The flavors seemed to have come together better after sitting overnight.
