I've started a new hearth build for the new (to me) stove.

This is current stove with a hearth pad. New hearth will be approx 8" high, and I'm going to stone veneer the wall behind the stove.

Base assembled. Tile and stone to follow.

I have the same driver and drill combo. love it but one of the batteries wont charge on the charger any more. I can get it to charge on my automotive charger but the charger wont recognize it. There is some sort of chip that is blocking it for some reason.

Every once in a while I'll get the same thing. The typically start acting silly when it gets cold out, and when it gets nose hair sticky cold, they are pretty much useless.

At least the lithiums will charge in colder weather, the old NiCd would not. I don't miss those batteries at all.

Grout in the morning. Might be pushing my luck to get the stove in and fired up for Sat night Sun morning. Supposed to hit the upper 30's Sun early.

Looks really nice, great work! I wish we had some cooler weather moving in but it's still pretty mild here. Post a pic when that baby is burning on the hearth!

    Really nice Keith.
Have you got it grouted yet?
Jeez man, it's 8 a.m..........hurry up. :p We should be seeing pics with a stove up there pretty soon too, eh?
I think I'd give the grout an overnight chance to set before firing up the stove.
