Ok, besides free booze while gambling, what should I be doing here? I'm going with the GF so hookers are out LMAO

    We leave in a week.

We are staying at the Flamingo-It's supposed to be centrally located-it was her choice.

I would like steakhouse suggestions. Actually, any restaurant BESIDES seafood. I'm allergic.

Only going for 4 days so no all day excursions-I've heard this will rule out the Hoover Dam...true?

We are both people watchers if that helps.

She wants to see a Circ De solei (sp?) show--am I going to have to sleep thru this thing?

Any tips for this trip will be helpful.
I just hope I don't come home and have to post all my chit up in the classifieds section :D

Definitely go see Cirque Du Soleil!! One of the best shows I have been to. Can't help you on much else as I am not much of a gambler. The one time I was in Vegas I was not impressed.

If you have a car you can go to Hoover dam. Another fun thing to do if you want to get out of town is rent a boat on lake mead. My wife and I rented a 60 hp boston whaler like boat several years ago. We went up a little ways and into a side canyon, beached it and did some exploring. Definitely not a people watching trip activity though.

Plan at least one day to do nothing but relax, drink and eat. I don't like planning a whole lot when we go on vacation. If you do, you don't get the relaxation and relief you need!

    HAVE FUN MAN!

I don't know if they still have the buffets but many moons ago they were out of this world. I have never seen anything like it.

If you want to people watch, then I would say there is no better place than Vegas.

If you want to learn about the best restaurants and buffets, go to a website called Chowhounds and search Las Vegas.

    Have fun!

Was there twice bocefus and each time was a 7 day cruise.. Too long for me! :hair: but 4 days would of been right on. ;) We did do some golfing and took a 12hr trip to the dam and Grand Canyon which again was too long. Pretty sure the dam is only 25m from Vegas so the car rental thing sounds good :)
The Canyon is a long drive from the strip and thats what took so long for the tour. Homeland Security was in the midst of building some kind of bridge at the time and not sure if they actually drive right over on the dam anymore? Have fun eh!!

Oh... Boy... You will have fun, I'm sure. I love it out there. All kinds of stuff to do, since your on the strip. We stay at the Luxor when we've gone out there. They just put in the Hershey store ( I just got a email the other day that said I think that they are open now). They have the M&M store (you can mark your own), the Coke Cola is kinda of fun ( get the sample pack from around the world of all of the varieties of Coke made in specific markets), and the Water display (by Caesar Palace ((I think they are like hourly after 10 am in the morning, its free too watch). If you rent a car, Hoover Dam is do able, especially if dont take the tour. Its a sight to see just looking at it ( you can park for like $10 to walk around on top and look around). I think its like 30 minutes away. Then you've got the old district, different stroke for different folks down there. Its interesting there, for a bit, not really a fan of that area except for the zip line through the middle of it (kinda of cool). If you want more info, let me know. Most of all have fun.

Heres my last trip back in February: http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/forums/index.php?threads/my-las-vegas-trip-pics.2534/
