Anyone have an idea why the Advance seems to cloud up the glass on the left side.
Myself and my buddy has the same stove and it always smokes up the the left side of the stove.

    Just wondering
    Thx Cliff

possibly clogged air wash by glass.....do you use the logset? It makes it worse. Other than that, the Advance is hands down the unit with seems to have dirty glass quickly. Also, shoulder season....when the units run at a low rate, the glass gets dirtier.

Not usually, my door gasket is only about 1-2 years old. Cleaning the air wash with an air compressor usually helps, I can try it if I get some time.

Interesting ideas, all might be possibilities. My buddy uses a Logset, i do not. I have never tried to clean air wash, just pull the door off and take it to the garage and use a compressor. How will i know i have done a good job??

    Thx Cliff

When you put the compressor in the air wash slot under the door. :)

    Don,
Also forgot in the previous reply, I'm trying to understand the air wash process. If i use a compressor under the door where will the ash go? will end up in the room or inside the firebox? I guess what i'm trying to figure out is how and where does the wash system get its air from the exhaust fan or the room fan.

    Thx Again

The exhaust fan pulls the fresh air in through the 2” air inlet pipe to feed the burn pot and the slot under the door.
When you blow the slot out it does make a mess
I hold the vacuum near it to catch some of it.
My stoves are in the basement right next to 3 tons of pellets so our baby is easy to feed and clean. ;-)
