    Hello
I must say this is a very strange problem that I have never seen before!
The Harman Advance is 48k BTUs so not that small in BTUs to really need the gummy fix but still it may benefit with it.
see gummy fix with the six blinks error here.
Anyone do the old Harman Gummy fix that causes the 6 Blink error and shuts down?
In this case I just resolved an issue with the metal top made before 2004. There was no 6 blink error until an updated control board was installed. That helped give a good clue!
The symptoms were that on startup it took much longer than normal to fill up the burnpot and it would run for an hour or so and then the fire would die out and the stove would quit!
This happened in both Stove Temp Mode and Room Temp mode.
Replacing the the vacuum switch and auger motor and ESP probe did not make any difference! Also cleaning out the pellets in the hopper and checking for foreign objects like a leaf I found once causing a similar issue did not help. We even tried the auger friendly pellets that were not too long too!
Finally we removed the fines box cover and cleaned it out. It was about 1/4 full. The removed the slide plate and cleaned that, even though it was not too dirty or gummy. Although the fines box has not been cleaned or checked in a very long time for this stove!! However that seemed to be the fix!
After that we started the stove and the burnpot filled with pellets normally and it heated the room right up to 72 degrees warm and toasty!
We have seen a lot of issues but this we never saw before! These Harmans are very good stoves but like anything else they just need some good TLC!!
See pic of this 22 plus year old stove working like brand new below! :)
