Looking for any info really. I was just giving one and the internet doesn't have much to say about them at all. It looks like an absalute beast. It fires up no problem. I'm not a mechanic and I mean not even shade tree. But there is clacking sound close to where the shaft and motor meet. So shut it down immediately. I wonder what size brush this cuts? Parts? Is it worth investing? Someone tell me more of this mysterious beast. IMG_20210217_204411_02.jpg IMG_20210217_204411_04.jpg IMG_20210217_204411_06.jpg

Clacking noise may be in the clutch. If you rev it up does the head spin & noise go away? With that blade it'll cut a 3/4" sapling pretty readily. That was a monster brush cutter in it's day. If it works use it & see if it suits your needs. If so it may be worth putting a little into, but I doubt Stihl supports it for parts anymore.

Not sure if you still have this machine, I have one that needs parts.
