Looking for any info really. I was just giving one and the internet doesn't have much to say about them at all. It looks like an absalute beast. It fires up no problem. I'm not a mechanic and I mean not even shade tree. But there is clacking sound close to where the shaft and motor meet. So shut it down immediately. I wonder what size brush this cuts? Parts? Is it worth investing? Someone tell me more of this mysterious beast.
Clacking noise may be in the clutch. If you rev it up does the head spin & noise go away? With that blade it'll cut a 3/4" sapling pretty readily. That was a monster brush cutter in it's day. If it works use it & see if it suits your needs. If so it may be worth putting a little into, but I doubt Stihl supports it for parts anymore.
