When you're out in the woods up there in Alaska, do you wear a noise maker on yer hip? I've seen some vids of charging grizz's where there wasn't much time to get locked and loaded… and then, the gun better mean business! A charging grizz at me… I'd be loaded all right, in my shorts… o_O:drool::eek:

Some recommend tourists to wear bells for the bears
When you see bear droppings with bells in it, another tourist feeding. LOL :)

Only had a couple make mock charges, most are pretty skittish .
    That increases the heart rate.
The ones in parks & protected areas, I worry more about. No fear of man.

Just make some noise when in thick vegetation , they don't want any confrontation with people.
I walk thru thick bear areas saying "Yo Bear, coming thru", still here :)

    I think that's a "blowfly".
They come swarming in at the sound of gun shots :)

I might be the slowest one walking in the woods but I wouldn't be the quietest… with all those noise makers firing lead pills at anything real big, hungry and mad comin at me… :eek:o_O:zip::drool:
