When Lowes started selling the Platinum, I started buying my pellets at HD. That's all they carry up here. Up until then, all I burned was the GT's. I've been boycotting Lowes since.

Careful now, Cubex may change their name to "Cubex Burn Your Face Off Platinums". And charge an extra $2.50 a bag.

I have 9 bags of these in my stash, bought them earlier this year when they were still $6/bag, and using a $10 off $50 coupon, so I paid about $4.89/bag. Hoping they live up to that amount (never burned them before)! I have heard these are a decent hardwood and in some cases put out astounding heat. We shall see. Thanks for the excellent review as always.

I burned a lot of these before the smoke and mirror show at Lowes and they are a hot pellet but a bit ashy back in those days.
