This one is good. He wants someone to come out and top the tree for free. I wonder why the previous guy was rude :loco:

Free oak tree to anyone with chainsaw and rope to pull it down.
It is dead and should come down easy.
Must leave trunk, should be several cords in the large branches.
Will give address to interested party. Leave email with # to call or text.

It's free wood, yes you have to do a little work to cut the large branches
Down. If you can't do it then don't reply. The last person that wrote me was
    Very rude Mr. Couture.
The reason I want the stalk to remain is because I don't want to compromise
The shed that's next to it. If your cutting it down to make $$ off it then don't reply.
This is for someone who needs the wood and can't otherwise afford it. It's free
Otherwise I can cut it down myself and sell it.

Unbelievable. I bet people are knocking eachother over, fighting for a chance to cut those branches. And then they can clean up the mess and bow down and give thanks to the generous soul who allowed them the opportunity.
CL has gotten out of control. Most people on it have no concept of reality. I see people all the time asking 90% of brand new retail for their used piece of junk. Once in a while a good deal will pop up. But it's usually gone within minutes.

It would be pretty funny if someone clueless decided to do it and dropped it on the shed. Who knows, maybe we will see it on one of those tree felling blooper vids.

I find the naively optimistic CL ads rather appealing for some reason. Much like a child believing in Santa Claus or setting up a lemonade stand.

hey I always stop at kids lemonade stands and buy a cup.. Shows initiative and sales skill, young entrepreneurs , except from a rude 12 year old that wanted 4.50 a glass and tips

There is an ad in the Lansing CL right now for a free hornets nest, complete with thousands of angry hornets. They would like someone to remove it for free. Act now, before this once in a lifetime offer is gone! Call now and get a free Epi-pen. Folks, time is running out. You must not delay any longer. There is only one nest at this location, and when it is gone, it is gone.

You know, I think that I would rather take on the free hornets nest than take on removing a 200 year old tree from someones back yard that reaches over three houses and four cars.

Agree. There are a lot of CL idiots out there. But at the other end of the spectrum are people with really nice freshly-cut wood that don't have the first clue what it's worth, and give it away for free. Then there are people like me that can't seem to say no to those ads.
