Had a nib pump in the basement that I bought from a well drillers liquidation for $25 bucks in 1991. Ya know, just in case.

Well is 175' pump at 100' water at 40'. Crazy thing is my kid got the handle in 1st try AND hung the pump 1st try. I never ever got that lucky and I worked on a lot of wells as a kid.

Kind of ironic since I work for a water utility, but I have never been directly involved in pulling a pump...really not that familiar...our wells are all large, and deep (50-100 HP vertical turbine pumps)...we have a local well service company do the pump work, and somehow I have never been around when things were being pulled or installed.
I suppose since my car just puked a trans, (never lost a trans on a vehicle before) now my well pump is gonna go too! I have never touched it in the 22 years I have been here. (other than 1 pressure tank, and 1 switch)

Easy peasy if you have to do it.
The turbine pumps are they lineshaft, motor above grade or submersible ? Done a fair amount of lineshaft pump repair work. Guy across the street is a pump guy and we make a good amount of otherwise NLA parts.

Our toilet got stuck running for a few hours last week, and our well went dry for the first time in 10 years.

Water level must still be low, can't get above 38 PSI in the tank.

So.. the house is connected to the trailer well again.

One of these days I still want to hard-line the house to the second well, just stopped thinking about it after fixing things up last year, or the year before.

Had to replace the old jet pump a few years ago when the water slowed to a trickle. Well is 250 feet deep, foot valve was 150 feet deep and the tubing was full of water. Pulling it with a crane would have taken too long. Plugged the end put, drilled a pilot hole, put an air fitting in the hole and hooked it up to a 100 foot hose attached to an air compressor. That pipe shot out of the well casing. We were running around the yard trying to guide it. Did this about 20 years ago, wish I had a video.

I rode a motor through a skylight once hanging from a crane.
