The weather last week was not good at all for installing new landscapes for folks. Doing some things in the rain and mud just don't make my day go to well. I did manage to have the energy after work to turn most of this pile of logs and limbs

There is some hollow stuff in there but the most of it is good and solid. That pile is about 9' by 16' and about 6' high in the middle. When I get the rest bucked up it should be twice that big. Or, I might just stack the logs I have yet to cut up off the ground and leave them be for a year.

All just soft maple. Came from 3 trees a neighboring farmer had dumped by a tree service last week. He piled the small stuff up to burn and sorted out the big stuff for me to haul home and burn in the stove. Since its soft maple and I have a 5 year supply of wood already CSS I may just leave the rest in logs so it don't get punky on me for awhile.

The big uns and the hollow ones went on the dirt. And yep, the corn is gonna be tall round me this summer. No one is planting soy beans around my little slice of the pie this year.
