Had a dead elm and dying paper birch taken down in December. Tree crew just put the wood on the ground and I did the clean up.
First pic is after trees were dropped and the second picture is today after I got the wood out of the yard.

There is a short birch trunk still standing due to some iron in it. I got the rest of the birch cut, split and stacked.

Not this time  had a friend who works for a tree service do the job. They did it in about 30 minutes! I am doing cleanup. The truck backing was actually pretty easy we made room in advance.

Yes as well as the tree itself it overhung the neighbors rental house, my garage, the polebarn, two power lines, our greenhouse and our fence. It was a mess of a tree as well. Chinese elm almost as bad as willow.

That will be nice, maybe we'll get more sunshine on the greenhouse.
Is that the same one you trimmed out some before?

Yup a couple times. Last year I went up in a lift and cut one side down and took the tops out because I didn't have the time to really cut it down.

Nop it's headed to a friends pit. Chinese elm doesn't burn well, stinks, is a big magnet and takes forever to dry out. I really don't care for it

Larry we can't wait to get the garden going! We are modifying the way we are planting too. Inside the greenhouse will be hydroponic self watering 5 gallon pales. Outside will be taller beds!

We will not miss that tree one bit!

Good for you. I am stillwaiting on delivery of some top soil mixed with composted horse manure. I've given up most of my garden space to my son for a place for his kids to play. So I have had to make a new area. I had to buy and place a culvert in the middle of the area so it won't be wet. There is a natural run off that is active after storms. This will have it go under the garden. Greenhouse is bursting with seedlings and my son's "herbs". two more weeks and most things move outside.

Glad to hear your going to plant this year! I liked the pictures you used to put up. How well does the culvert work?
