Hi hoarders The other day my grandkid accidently slammed door on my wood burning fireplace insert, a Travis / Fyre Xtrordinaire medium insert --great unit that heats 1800 sq. ft. no problem in New Hampshire. Anyway, I start looking around for a replacement glass and got a tip from a friend that some local glass outfits carry the high temperature, specialized glass that woodstoves requires. Here in Exeter, NH I called Glass Options, right in town, and Bob the owner got a sheet of glass and cut it for me within three days, all at significant savings of time and money over a replacement pane ordered online. The takeaway I want to share is that if you have cracked or broken glass, check your local glazier and you might save a good deal of money and time. Here's the new glass, so clean it seems there's nothing in the door.
