With the Easter long weekend coming up next week and a chance to go camping I loaded the mower into the trailer and went out to the farm I cut wood on. There’s lots of dry grass and a bit of a fire risk still so cleared a bit of an area for the caravan and tent and whilst out there got half a load of yellowbox wood . I’ll be cutting more wood over the break which I’ll add to this thread.

Yikes! Ill say thats dry. Thanks for mentioning the "yellowbox" wood. I knew someone somewhere had mentioned a species with "yellow" in the name. I posted a thread recently about yellow colored wood (mulberry) i scored. Have fun and hoard on!

got that bit split and stacked plus a little bit straight into the woodshed for next year. This stuff won’t get burnt until 2024 at the earliest.

I had leoht join me today to cut some wood. I got a nice load and Chris got an even better one. He had his big Stihls humming whilst I plugged away with my 562xp. It was a good day!

    Now that is dry!!
I once lit a large pine round on fire during our dry spell with a 204 Ruger. Turned out there was a steel rod in it. Looking through the scope at 200 yards I notice smoke coming from my backstop. I thought that was dry. I stand corrected LOL

Thanks HuskyMatt for another great day out the farm. FA0AD334-0E00-40BF-B6E4-20064AF00184.jpeg We certainly left some sawdust and noodles up on those rocks.

It was perfect to give my new to me STIHL 090 a run.

Oh what a sound this torque monster makes.

Running the 090 certainly made me appreciate the anti vibration in my other saws.
