I'd say we're about 2-3 weeks ahead of normal for tree colors and migrating geese.

We were just noticing here that the ash leaves have been falling already even though most of our trees are still green. Some color is starting. It's been pretty dry lately and this last weekend didn't help with temps in the 80s. Cooler today tho... 60s.

Supposed to get down to 45 Saturday though. That's Georgia weather for ya

Trees here are starting to change. Up north this past week end they are a bit further along.

Still no frost here. The coldest I've seen so far was 39. I'm still getting tomatoes out of the garden and even have a few blossoms still. Not expecting the frost to hold off much longer.

The colors here started turning early in mid/late Sep, I think because of the day weather. Its been mild generally but a week ago we had a burst of 80s. Then suddenly a rainy pattern started up t last couple days and now the leaves are falling all over.

Still a lot of green in the mix but many trees red/orange as well and dropping. 60s today and raining. Nights have been in the 40s generally with a ocuple dips close to freezing.

Next week here Dave I suspect. Temps not nearly as pleasant as yours though. We expect plenty of packed stove pics soon. Might want to throw that sign on your door in the stove too.

:coffee: Yea, I just said that!

24f is an eye opener for sure! Don't think it'll be too long and I'll have a slice of that cake.
I thought it was going to snow a couple nights ago, but it ended up warming overnight by a few degrees.
Now for Saturday, snow is forecasted-we'll see. The leaves have long past their prime and only the browns/yellows are left.

image.jpg Oakes are just starting to change. Ash has dropped all their leaves. Birch tress are becoming nude. Most of the maples are near peak. Those near water have lost their leaves. Still no killing frost here, but my drive way and the road are covered in brown leaves. I drove to Lewiston today and saw several tree lines without leaves. If we get wind and rain, it will look considerably different. Here is a map as of 24 sep. I would say we are at peek here now.

Been warm here. Starting to cool a little at night, but not much. I am burning for DHW now. Just started yesterday. Leaves are falling pretty heavy now. A friend of mine says he heard it is suppose cold and snowy winter. He is thinking of getting a little more wood than he has ready.

Pretty nice here yet. Trees starting to change, but lots of green leaves still present. Still getting good tomatoes and peppers out of the garden. Grass looks phenomenal after a few inches of rain. It's been a bit warmer than average. No fires yet, although I can smell the first burn coming this weekend. Highs in the 50's and lows in the 30's. No signs of frost yet though.

    Got the potatoes in today,
top 3/4" of soil was frozen, almost to late.

Hope it stays clear, need to pick up leaves & add them to the compost .

Fall in full swing here. Lasts about a month,
By the end of Oct, winter will be here .
