post up some pics or vids or your toys, projects or race cars. There are quite a few gear heads here and after I derailed another saw thread, figured why not start a muscle power thread.

I'm a mustang junky. I've owed 29 to date. Started with MAD (mustang acquisition disease) long before CAD. My father and I had a restoration business for the 1964 to 1970 mustangs back in the 90's to early 2000's.

my first mutt, a 1966 coupe. Original 6cyl automatic. It has been redone twice and currently sitting until I have time for it. frame rails (front and rear) floor pans, all new. its had a couple motors in it, the last was a 1995 cobra motor with EFI and a 5 speed back in 1998. its been sitting since 2005-2006. Disc brakes all the way around.

This was from my prom in 1998. it had a little 289 and a 4 speed in it then and ran 12.20's @114 back then. it was a stout little build that I mimicked the 306HP GT350 shelby motor build.

current state: I want to do either a brand new 2013-14 5.0L install or if I hit the lottery a shelby supercharged drivetrain.

Which brings up my baby, my 2003 sonic blue Cobra Vert. I bought this went I walked in on my fiancé' at the time and my best friend. So, I used my house money to buy a toy since I had spent so many years traveling for work and no time having fun. They only made 341 sonic blue cobra convertibles. Factory rated at 390hp. I had intended to leave it stock... this was about the time I was heavy into the saws as I didn't have a garage or place to work on the cars, so I cut firewood for myself, my father and the Ex's father and saws could be worked on in a small space.

It didn't stay stock for long. Did all the bolt ons, cold air, tune, exhaust. started drag racing it and it was wheel hopping bad, so I ripped the rear suspension IRS apart and went to town:

lowered it, new 18" wheels and tires. in 100% street trim it runs 11.50's. I've not had it to the track on slicks since redoing the IRS. i'm porting the blower right now hoping for 550 rear wheel horsepower. it made 475rwhp and 495 ft/lbs at the tires with every bolt on possible. stock it made 6lbs of boost. It now makes 14lbs (474rwhp and 495rwtq). after the port it will be 16ish, but it will make in excess of 525-550 rear wheel HP. It was nominated to be on the showroom floor of Summit Racing a few summers ago. It runs and looks pretty good for a topless heavy girl.

now the cobra wasn't meant to be a fast car or a project.. just something to get in, drive and get back into the car scene after being gone so long. My real fast project is my 86 GT vert. This was my first convertible. 40K mile Georgia car. this car is light. it will have a realistic 600-650 RWHP. my goal for this car was to have a 10.50 class car that could be driven on the street. The cobra is just a cruiser.

everything is custom or aftermarket. I have every single part to put it back together but no time or motivation...

Fully forged, sportsman block 342, Vortech T trim supercharger with a water to air heat exchanger, fully built 3550 5 speed manual, full built rear end, 8 point cage, frame tied, aftermarket gauges in the dash, etc.. maybe this coming summer it will be pounding the streets once again. fully CNC ported twisted wedge heads, custom blower grind cam, custom built long tube headers... it should rip.

fully built and welded axle. welded tubes to prevent twisting under huge shock loads from slicks and high horsepower launches, 31 spline aftermarket axles, C clip eliminators, custom supports welded to axle.

    custom cut and welded intake

Sorry to read about your discovery. Glad to look at the pics and accomplishments.
Don't know why, but I never ever liked Mustangs. What a wasted of time/potential by not considering them, huh? 6-7 years ago, a convertible was traded in to a local dealer and we took it for a test drive. February is still the dead of winter around here, and there we are tooling down the highway in a vehicle that never, NEVER saw snow/salt. She asks, "What do you think?" I told her if she doesn't get it, I will!
Since then, we have it stored every winter and used every summer...exactly the way it should be. She enjoys it much more than I do, that's fine. If I was to get something, I would want a bit more power than the 6 it has. It's nice not having a vintage car as we are able to drive it, gas it, and if needed (not yet) repair it with readily available parts. Usually during the summer, one evening is set aside for a ride.

I'm a gearhead. I'm not brand loyal. If it has an engine, I like it. Gasoline and diesel fuel run through my veins. Hence why I got into saws, tractors, quads, bikes, etc. My pocketbook doesn't allow me to play with everything I want, So I am stubborn and learn to do things myself..... I'm not one of those yuppies that buys something already done just to say they have it. Blood Sweat and Beers has been my attitude/motto for at least 20 years.

My vintage toy. 1988 GL1500 Goldwing. The 1st year of the 1500cc boxer 6 cylinder. It was cutting edge technology when it came out in 88'. This bike still supports the original factory paint and the motor has never been touched other than normal servicing. Currently has 97,550 original km's (60,575 miles). 27 years old and still rides like a new bike. Blue & Trailer 004.JPG Blue Wing 010.jpg Blue Wing 012.jpg

For sure Stinny, when I had the Harleys, my wife hated riding 2 up due to the noise and vibration. She loves the Wing.............She says no more Harleys in our stable as long as she is riding.

My '04.5 Dodge Ram 2500 put down 383HP and 787ft.lb. torque a few years ago on a single run. I was at this dyno event just as a spectator, but I got goaded into rolling my truck onto the rollers. I told them my truck would easily put down 350 and 750 on the "tune" I was running.......................they didn't agree and forked up the $$$$ for me to "ride the roller"!!:D:DThey lost!!!

Those numbers are on my "current" tune as I type this. My truck is a 6 speed rower..................most every auto made will gross me off the line and 1/4mile........................but ain't "too" many sports cars or pickups that can take me 60-100mph,

Awesome numbers Whitey. But, I'd be one of those guys putting money on other vehicles for the 60-100 bet!

I expected it was with those massive torque ratings.

Here's my money pit. 1969 AMC Javelin, 343 V8, Go-Pak, Rally-Pak gauges, 3 speed auto. From what I've been able to trace back from the VIN, it rolled out of Kenosha the week of November 4, 1968.

I've got it back to almost the way it came from the factory except for the rims and a few other things. I haven't found a set of Magnum 500's yet for a price I'm willing to pay. It has a Mallory electronic distributor because I hate messing with breaker points, and it has a one wire alternator due to one of the previous owners hacking the voltage regulator wiring all to heck.

Not many people know what it is when I take it out....

I had an 05 with TST and FASS put down 452hp and 830 ft lb. The 07 I posted the video should have been a 560-600 hp depending on tune.

The green one is a 99 tj stock engine with 14" travel suspension.
