So today I recived my two GB Arbor Pro bars. A little disappointed. First the order was supposed to have chains with them, no chains. I called Left Coast Supply, they were great and said they'll send two chains out to me. Then I saw this... image.jpg image.jpg
That's right, a missing rivet in the tip for the sprocket. I emailed GB. Hopefully they respond quickly and maybe send me a new tip to replace the defective one :headbang::pete:

    Ok well that was quick!

Hi Ryan, thank you for your enquiry.

We manufacture some noses for customers that are designed to be used with a safety tip.

The safety tip locates into the square hole and is held in place with a screw that goes into the empty hole where the rivets are.

I have included an image of the safety tip to hopefully make it clearer.

Rather than make two different types of the same nose, we now only make one type that will do both jobs. We have done extensive testing with the nose that only has three rivets and it performs exactly the same as the nose with the four rivets.

If you purchased two of the same bar then my guess is that you received one of the older noses and one of the current noses. You will have no problems with either.

I hope this clears up this matter for you.

    Regards,

If you have a square hole and missing rivet, GB says its fine! I'm curious as to how these bars are going to hold up. But for $11 it's worth a shot.

Yes I ordered two of them also. Website listing says chains included. But they weren't in the package. I called them and they said they would send them out. Hopefully yours get packaged.

Looks more stihl orange to me on the GB bar. :D but the tool holder is awesome.

The GB stands for Green Bay as far as I'm concerned. :)

Tool holder=3/8 fuel line. Two holes drilled in it and zip tied to the handle.

My boss is a Green Bay fan, I don't like my boss.

Stihl orange, Husqvarna orange, Jonsered orange. They all look the same

I wouldn't be to fond of that square hole getting debris and possibly messing with the sprocket.:loco:  Sounds like a great buy though.

Oh believe me I'm not fond of it. But for the price I'll try it.
