I won a Model A Ford roadster on an estate auction. It is located in Galeton, PA. I am pulling a trailer there to bring it home this weekend. Staying in Williamsport Saturday night. I have been looking for an affordable Model A the past few years. Belong to a local club of great people to associate with. I got a roadster/ rumble seat model that needs some TLC. I actually want one that needs some attention so that I can learn about them. There are a lot of retired folk in the club, and I figure having someone on tours who can turn wrenches would be a good way to serve.
There may have been a couple members around this weekend if not for Backwoods Savage ’s GTG.... Nice looking ride Sourwood
Had a nearby jack of all trades and firewood scrounger repack the bearings on my trailer while i was working. Stopped at his house tonight to pay him. Found he had some rounds in the bed f his truck from a tree service job down the road. He has a garage that he spends most of his time at to be away from his estorogen laden house. Burns wood in his stove there. I had a bad bearing that would have stranded me. At first light, a visit to a shop is in order. Tires are good.
im kinda from that area. couple hours from there. We ride atv's there. used to ride snowmobiles there... unfortunately I'm in Mi at Dennis' gtg for the weekend.
I'm 2 hours west of Galetom . If you're still in the area and have time , the Corning glass factory tour is pretty interesting if they still have them .
Well I made it home with my new ride. 1500 miles, 80% of the miles and time spent it was raining, drizzling, or overcast. I must say, that the part of PA I was at looked to be a beautiful area if the sun was shining. beautiful streams and rivers with mountains. I likely will plan a return to the area for motorcycle touring.
