Made a dumb mistake and put my hand on the end of the round while on the splitter. Yanked up but it smashed my index finger. Not broke but peeled the skin back from about my knuckle to the first joint. Not very pretty

The good Lord was looking out for me. It could have been a lot worse.
I pushed the skin back down, bandaged and elevated it for awhile. Then one loaded a partial load on my trailer one handed.

OUCH! Could've been worse. A good reminder to all of us hoarders that what we do is dangerous!

Glad it wasn’t worse. Just curious, was it a hydraulic splitter or a rack and pinion?

Ouch. Hope it heals well. Just getting over my own log splitter injury that I have failed to report here. Strange, everything you go to touch that finger will hit it first! Take care.

Did that once to my little finger. Flattened it out pretty good. The good news you will recover and will not make that mistake again.

Ouch. That’ll sting for awhile. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Like JW said that finger will find things to hit you don’t want to for awhile.
