I have a gas thief and liar living amongst me and am sick and tired of the BS that he feds me.
Long story short. Came home from a week away. My car was on empty. Couldn't even smell fumes when sticking my nose down the spout. Truck was moved 10 feet. Supposedly so he could mow. It all the sudden had a transmission leak. However the fluid smelled very burnt. Don't think it would get that way just attempting to move it 10 feet. Jury is still out if the transmission has been destroyed. It was just rebuilt 15K miles ago at a cost of $2600. Seven gallons of gas in my jugs has vanished. Draw your own conclusions, but I have a very good idea how things transpired.
We will be going on another trip in Sept. Now, I am feeling mean and want to set the thief up. I don't want to destroy his engine, I know how to do that, just want to make it run very crappy. How much water to add to a five gallon can of gas to make a vehicle run real chitty? I would also like to correct the problem with dry gas after the bait is taken.
Yes I am kind of a spiteful old fart, but talking is not working.

Sorry bout your problem. I hate a thief. Can't help on the mix ratio. Personally, I'd have a ftf talk with him, get a locking gas cap, and lock up the fuel cans too.

I know you wanna prove a point, but that's not the most honest thing and could hurt him. Hesitation while pulling out....he gets hurt....you get sued and lose lots of sleep and money.

Be bigger. Tell him you know and are dissappointed. Then lock up your chit, cuz who knows what else will grow legs. Thieves are usually supporting a habit of some sort these days....so imo, address that....not the stealing. Stop the habit, and the stealing stops too.

That does $uck Marshel54  but I have to echo bocefus78's comments... put up a game cam, at least...
If he's going to mow (for you?) get him to sign a clearly worded agreement that he's not to enter your outbuildings.
Hope it works out for you.:handshake:

Talking hasn't worked. I don't believe it is a drug habit, but a gasoline ars problem.
Hadn't thought of a possible hesitation problem. I've been stewing over the problem for over a week and the wife sticks up for him. My chit will be locked up and the car keys and lock keys put in the safe when we go on our next trip.
He is a relative that lives here when he is hungry, needs his laundry done and is not chasing girls. He is old enough to be supporting himself.

I had about three and a half gallons very old, nasty, stinky gas, in 2 cans, that I sucked out of a gas tank, I had the two cans sitting out by a tree till I figured out what the heck I was going to do with it and someone stole both of my cans with the gas, I hope they went and put that gas in a car or something, that stuff will gum up anything you put it in.
It would serve them right for stealing my damm cans:mad:

We have a couple summer help college kids at work right now...the one is a pretty decent worker when by himself...the other, boar hog mammarys...and unfortunately the two together, 1+1 = 1 (maybe 1...maybe more like 0.5 )

When I worked at the sawmill as a kid they had a wood chipper that would chip up a 16' Oak slab in about 4 seconds!

Call him and say you have something to give him. Then tell him once he comes over, trail cams are up, security system is on and by the way the sheriff is waiting outside to serve you a restraining order and if you ever come near here again God will cry when he sees what has become of him and you will press charges. Have a nice day, get a haircut and get a real job so you can buy some soap on a rope because it will be needed where people like him end up. Now go say hi to the officer and lock the door on your way out you slimy little communist turd twinkle toe genitalia slurping puke.
