Found this on my stack

I went out to my working stack of Norway Maple, the tarp still has some snow on it. The snow was littered with feathers. I see a Coopers Hawk on the property often and I figure he had a meal.

It's a bird eat bird world out there. Goshawks can put a hurt on birds around here.

 

This guy flew into my bay window last summer. Super loud thump, thought someone threw a rock at it... Went out and picked him up to discard in the woods so the dog didnt eat it, and it started thrashing at me lol... He just knocked himself silly... I put him down and he stood still for over an hour just looking around... Finally took off.

After we had the last blizzard which was a Bombagazonga (weather channels) down in Massachuesetts, which in reality, was just a windy 14" snowfall up here in NH. I found a dead rabbit rabbit completely eaten down to bits of fur and meat. No coyote or bobcat tracks in the fresh snow. It was death from above, most likely a great horned owl.

 

Wife doesn't like it when they swoop in and snatch the little birds from the feeder. I tell her that is why they are called Bird feeders Hawks are birds too.

 

Fast food fly through. You need one of these feeders to get some action shots.
